Mega Millions: $636m Jackpot Has Been Won

At least two winning jackpot tickets have been bought in the $636m (£392m) Mega Millions draw.

The winning numbers on Tuesday night were: 8, 14, 17, 20, 39; Mega Ball: 7.

California Lottery spokesman Alex Traverso said one winning ticket was sold at Jennifer's Gift Shop in San Jose, California.

Another was bought in Georgia.

There may be other winners. Mega Millions lead director Paula Otto said the game officials' count was not complete yet.

It is the second-largest lottery jackpot in US history.

The Mega Millions jackpot had been growing for weeks because of a game revamp that dramatically lowered the odds of winning the top prize to about 1 in 259 million.

It used to be about 1 in 176 million.
